WordPress Plugin Installation Instructions

Description

The Are You a Human WordPress plugin allows you to easily add PlayThru to your WordPress site's comments, signup, and login forms. It also integrates with the Contact Form 7 plugin, allowing you to add PlayThru to any form created with Contact Form 7

Requirements

The Are You a Human plugin works with WordPress version 2.8 and later. You will need to be an administrator of the blog, or have plugin installation capabilities.

Please note: Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use PlayThru if your site is hosted on WordPress.com. WordPress does not allow users of its hosting service to install any plugins.

Site Keys

If you have not already done so, please create an account and add a site on which you plan to have a PlayThru;.

How to Install

  1. Log in to your WordPress blog as the administrator.
  2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New.
  3. Enter "Are You a Human" in the search box.
  4. Click "Install Now".
  5. Once installation has completed, click the "Activate Plugin" link.

How to Configure

  1. Navigate to Settings → Are You a Human.
  2. Copy and paste your Publisher and Scoring keys into the Are You a Human settings page.
  3. Select which parts of your site you’d like PlayThru to appear on. You can also choose to hide PlayThru from registered users of your site.
  4. When you’re done, make sure to click the “Save Changes” button. Then you’re all set!

Using PlayThru with Contact Form 7

Once you’ve installed Contact Form 7, the Are You a Human plugin will automatically detect it and allow you to include PlayThru in your CF7 forms. Just add the “Are You a Human” element to the bottom of your form from within the Contact Form 7 settings page.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide support for Contact Form 7. For Contact Form 7 installation help and instructions, please read their frequently asked questions.

Troubleshooting

If PlayThru isn't loading for you, please check the following:

  • If PlayThru is set to "Lightbox" mode, it will only display once the form it's included in has been submitted. You can see which mode PlayThru is set to in the "Game Style" section of the Dashboard.
  • Make sure that you are using the correct publisher key and scoring key.
  • Check to see if your server and/or network has a firewall which prevents outbound connections via port 443.
